Summer Audition Studio

Olney Theatre Center Summer Audition Studio is for students in grades 10-12 (rising), who are interested in pursuing theatre in college and beyond. With one-on-one coaching and group training, students will build their audition repertoire by choosing and working on monologues, songs, and dances with the guidance of professionals in the industry. They will learn the tips and tricks to succeed in auditioning for their high school musical, college admission, or the local regional theatre. At the end of the two-week session, students will perform a monologue of their choice along with ensemble dances and duets to showcase their skills and talent on Friday, August 21 at 3:00 pm. 

In order for us to get a sense of everyone’s starting point, we ask students to come in with a monologue and solo song of their choosing to be performed on the first day. It can be a monologue from their favorite play or TV show, a song from a musical, or the latest favorite pop song. 

Location

Summer Audition Studio will take place in the newly built Trawick Education Center. The showcase for friends and family will begin at 3:00pm on the final day of the program.

No refunds offered for Summer Audition Studio after August 3.

Will we get to see a show?
Students will be able to see A Gentleman’s Guide to Love and Murder during the program on August 19.
