Updated policies as of September 1, 2022
Below are revisions to our Covid safety protocols. These revisions allow us to be strategic and flexible as we continue responding to the ongoing health situation. Olney Theatre Center will continue to monitor the COVID situation in Montgomery County, alongside County regulations and CDC recommendations, and will make revisions to these policies as events warrant. Patrons are advised to check this page for updates.
We ask that if you are experiencing symptoms, please stay home. Use this CDC symptom checklist to see if you need to quarantine or get tested.
Proof of vaccination or negative Covid test is no longer required.
Patrons are required to wear masks in performance spaces. Masks are not required while in lobby areas. No food or drink is allowed in the theatre.
OLNEY THEATRE STAFF
All Olney Theatre Center staff have been vaccinated and must be masked when inside performance spaces.
There will be a limited number of printed paper programs available and we ask that they be limited to one copy per party. All program information is available digitally. You will be emailed a link and there will be signage with QR codes available to access a program. Our most current paperless program can always be found at olneytheatre.org/e-program. And an archive of past programs can be found here.
A concessions menu is available and when possible, we encourage them to be consumed outdoors when possible. Patrons are not allowed to bring food or drink into the theatre to ensure that masks are worn at all times in performance spaces.
All HVAC systems utilize MERV-13 filters which are regularly monitored by Potomac Mechanical Contractors. HVAC systems in performance spaces will run continuously at least two hours prior to being occupied, while occupied, and two hours after being vacated to continue circulation and filtration of air.
