Tech and Design Intensive

Olney Theatre Center Tech and Design Intensive is for students rising in grades 8-10 who are interested in learning more about the production and technical elements of theatre. In this intensive, students will spend the first week doing a deep dive into a different production area each day–set, lighting, costumes, sound, and props. During the second week, they will get to focus on the area of their choice by creating a design for a show. This can include a 3D set model, sketches and fabric swatches for costumes, or more. At the end of the intensive, students will showcase their designs in an exhibit open to friends and family starting at 3:30 pm on August 6. Registration fee also includes materials.

Location

Tech and Design Intensive will take place in the newly built Trawick Education Center. The showcase for friends and family will begin at 3:30 pm on the final day of the program.

Will we get to see a show?
Students will be able to see A Gentleman’s Guide to Love and Murder during the program on July 29.
