Olney Theatre Center has internships available for high school and college students who are seeking hands-on experience at a non-profit regional theatre. Students can expect to gain experience in a fast-paced professional environment, develop connections with industry professionals, and learn more information about various career pathways in the performing arts.

These are unpaid, volunteer intern positions, and as such, Olney Theatre Center is relatively flexible when scheduling working hours. Internships are eligible for Student Service Learning (SSL) hours. With permission from the school, students may also complete internships for course credit.

Please note: Olney Theatre Center Internships are only available to individuals local to the District of Columbia, Maryland, and Virginia area, or those who have housing in the DMV area. You are required to provide a DMV residential address for verification.

How to Apply:
If you are interested in internships during the school year, please complete the General Interest section of the Internship Application Form and select general interest. You will be asked to upload a resume. We will accept Summer internship applications starting Wednesday, January 28. The due date for applications is Friday, March 13.
