Now, the DMV’s reigning musical superstar, Nova Y. Payton (World Goes 'Round), takes on the title role of a musical that churns out laughs, songs, and over-the-top antics as fast as humanly possible…and then goes a little faster. Audiences of all ages are guaranteed a great time at this classic musical about love, second chances, and the magic of an adventure to the big city!

    Joriah Kwamé became a viral TikTok star with his song “Little Miss Perfect,” which garnered millions of views and launched this new musical with Broadway aspirations. High school kids are under a lot of pressure. Just ask Noelle, who has lived up to expectations of perfection her whole life, even as she’s attempted to blend in as one of the few Black students at a predominantly white school. But now it’s senior year, and a scholarship to Howard University is within her reach —if she can demonstrate leadership skills. With an irresistible mix of hip-hop, showtunes, and pop sounds, Little Miss Perfect distills Noelle’s journey as she seeks to escape her small Midwestern town. Joriah's hit songs "Little Miss Perfect" and "Ordinary" feature prominently, and you’ll be humming the new numbers - like "Black Girl Magic," “Malaya's Words," and "Legendary" by the time the curtain falls.

    Branden Jacobs-Jenkins’ searing satire of a family digging through their recently deceased patriarch’s crumbling estate is both gut-splittingly funny and shocking in its confrontation of conveniently forgotten family history. DC-luminaries Kimberly Gilbert (Angels in America) and Cody Nickell (Ink) star as siblings battling over the possession and meaning of their father’s dark patrimony. As the rest of the family descends on the ancestral property in rural Arkansas, old rivalries and grudges are eclipsed by the moral weight of what they find. Staged in our black box Mulitz-Gudelsky Theatre Lab, this will be a unique staging of one of the most important American plays of the past 15 years.

All-Access Membership FAQs and Policies

When can I begin taking advantage of my membership?

Once you have purchased of your membership, you will receive an email confirmation that will give you a special link that will allow you to initially begin booking tickets. The next day you will be able to login to your account to make ticket reservations and/or purchases without needing to use the link.

Can I let someone else use my tickets?

No. Your membership is non-transferable. If your tickets are in use, you must be in attendance. If you are unable to come on your performance date, please call or email the box office and let us know so we can either exchange you into another performance or release your seats.

Is there an exchange fee if I need to change my dates?

No, members do not pay ticket exchange fees.

How do I  cancel my membership?

The all-access membership automatically renews on the 15th of the final month of this quarter’s membership period. Not planning on renewing? You can cancel your membership by 

  • Emailing boxofficesupervisor@olneytheatre.org by the 10th of the final month in this membership period 
  • Filling out the cancellation form sent to the email you used to place your order. This is sent on the 1st day of the final month of your membership period.

Unless you provide written notice of cancellation, your all-access membership will renew on the 15th (or the first following business day, should the 15th fall on a weekend) in the final month of this quarter’s 3-month period.

Please note that the cost of your membership will decrease when you renew. The July - September membership is more expensive because of the volume of programming during that period.

 

Are there other member benefits and discounts?

Yes. Save on food and drinks at Joe's Players Club, Paul's Place, and at our Gift Shop in The Room. You also get discounted member prices on any additional ticket you purchase. Behind the Scenes programs are also always free to members and include conversations with directors, designers, journalists and other experts that deepen your experience of the productions you see.
