During tech weekends, our crew, designers, staff, and actors are working at the theatre from 11 am to 11pm making sure everything is ready to open the show to patrons. Therefore, it is important that we provide a delicious, in-house meal that caters to each person on staff. This past weekend, our company managers were diligently cooking dinner in our Crawford House kitchen for everyone involved with Cabaret tech. On the menu for Saturday, August 24 was:
- Flour and Corn tortillas
- Ground beef
- Shredded roti chicken
- Vegetarian refried beans
- All the toppings you dream of (including tomatoes, jalapenos, cilantro, sour cream, multiple kinds of hot sauce, cheese, and more!)
Company Manager Samantha Williams and Company Management Apprentice Eleanor Hill made dinner for roughly 50 people on both Saturday and Sunday. When providing meals for tech rehearsals, they need to ensure that the dinner has an option for everyone, from vegetarian and vegan to gluten-free options. Along with preparing for these wonderfully delicious dinners, Samantha and Eleanor ensured that there were snacks and drinks on hand for the entirety of tech week. Our company managers put 110% into making sure that everyone on campus is accommodated for and looked after.
