In celebration of the hit play Kim’s Convenience, we invite you to join us for Konvenience Festival—an afternoon honoring Korean culture, community, and creativity!
From 4 to 7 PM, the space outside the Lab Theatre will come alive with Korean American vendors, delicious food, and interactive cultural demonstrations showcasing both traditional and contemporary Korean experiences.
Then, wrap up the day with a high-energy K-Pop dance party, featuring a DJ Oh.Hi spinning your favorite tracks!
Free and open to all — bring your friends, your curiosity, and your best dance moves. Celebrate the culture that inspired Kim’s Convenience and enjoy an unforgettable evening of community and joy!

"Stepping Stones Drumming Team"
First Prize Winners of Charleston International Winter Music Competition 2025 (Drum Ensemble).
Performance by Stepping Stones Drum Team is centered around traditional Korean assorted drums. Drumming has been used in many social classes, ranging from folk music to court music. By educating the next generation about valuable cultural values and establishing it as a venue for presentations that can inherit and develop Korean culture. Korean Culture and Art of Maryland promotes individual artistry and character, and provides opportunities to encounter Korean traditional performing arts to establish an identity for Korean Americans. It is used as a promotional venue to promote pride and promote the excellence of Korean culture to mainstream American society.
"Sound of Korea" (Great Drum Ensemble)
It is an ensemble of various types of drums and is a work that combines the harmony of various rhythms such as traditional drum melodies that include jajinmori, hwimori, and byeoldalgeogei. The farmers who used to sing and pray for good harvest.
