Free events always have a significant number of no-shows. To provide the widest possible access to the performance, we will seat patrons from a standby line, in unclaimed seats, approximately 10 minutes prior to curtain time. The line forms on the path to the Root Family Stage beginning at 6:00 pm and patrons must be in line to be seated (no waiting list). You are not guaranteed a seat but we promise to fill every possible spot. If sightlines are not important to you, we hope to make extra space available on the Bank of America Plaza and behind the House Right Bleachers. Picnic blankets and lawn chairs could prove handy. From Pal Joey in 1951 to the upcoming performances of Hedwig & the Angry Inch and Beauty and the Beast, the musicals of Olney Theatre Center have lifted hearts, brought families together and have told tales as old of time. Featuring favorite Olney veterans and some surprise appearances, we celebrate this rich legacy with a beautiful evening under the stars celebrating wonderful music of the past 70 years at OTC.
