Summer Tech and Design Intensive Lead Teaching Artist

Olney Theatre Center Tech and Design Intensive is for students rising in grades 8-10 who are interested in learning more about the production and technical elements of theatre. In this intensive, students will spend the first week doing a deep dive into a different production area each day–set, lighting, costumes, sound, and props. During the second week, they will get to focus on the area of their choice by creating a design for a show. This can include a 3D set model, sketches and fabric swatches for costumes, or more. At the end of the intensive, students will showcase their designs in an exhibit open to friends and family starting at 3:30 pm on August 6. Registration fee also includes materials. Class capacity is 15 students.
