The 1938 Legacy Society
Individuals who let us know they have made a planned gift to Olney Theatre Center are honored as members of our 1938 Legacy Society and entitled to lifelong benefits.
These include invitations to special behind-the-scene events like First Rehearsal and Opening Night. Members of the 1938 Legacy Society are also listed in our production programs.
Up to $100,000 can be transferred directly from traditional or Roth IRAs annually to charitable organizations and recognized as donations.
If you are 70½ or older and have not yet taken your mandatory distribution from your IRA this year, you might want to consider a gift from your IRA to Olney Theatre Center before December 31. To make such gifts, it is important to not withdraw funds prior to a gift, but distribute them directly from an IRA to qualified charities. Please check with your IRA administrator or your financial advisor for more information.
