AFTER CARE SERVICE

After Care will be provided this year for an additional hour after dismissal of Discovery Stage (until 3:00 pm), Summer Stock (until 5:00 pm), Musical Theatre Intensive (until 5:00 pm), and Tech and Design Intensive (until 5:00 pm) for $25 each day.  A staff member will be supervising After Care and provide card/board games and art supplies; however, they will not lead additional activities and games for students. All activities will be self-guided by participants. We recommend Parents/Guardians book After Care in advance. If a student is picked up more than 15 minutes after dismissal, Parents/Guardians will automatically be charged After Care service for that day and receive a bill on their account.

Please note, After Care is not available the final Friday of each program.

SUMMER PROGRAM FAQS

(UPDATED December 2025)

Where will summer programs be held?
All summer programs will take place in our newly built Trawick Education Center, which can be accessed through our rear parking lot (turn right after you enter by the traffic light). See Campus Info for more information.

How many participants are admitted into each session?
Capacity varies depending on the program. Discovery Stage, Summer Stock, and Musical Theatre Intensive will be limited to 20  participants for each session. Summer Audition Studio will be limited to 12 participants, and Tech and Design Intensive will be limited to 15.

Will Olney Theatre Center offer Before and After Care?
We will only be offering After Care only this year for an additional hour after dismissal at the end of the day. A staff member will be supervising After Care and provide card/board games and art supplies; however, they will not lead additional activities and games for students. All activities will be self-guided by participants. Please note, the timing for each program varies, and in some cases, we have extended the days for returning programs.

What does participant pick-up and drop-off look like?
Parents/guardians will sign their students in and out every day unless that student is old enough to do it themselves. This usually applies only to Summer Audition Studio. Parents/guardians will need to submit approved drivers for pick-up ahead of time via email to education@olneytheatre.org

Where will lunch breaks be held?
Lunch breaks will take place outside on Omi’s Pavilion when weather permits. Indoor dining locations will be specified inside the Trawick Center.

Will there be anyone else in the building where camp is held?
Access to the building will be limited to students, teachers, and requisite Olney Theatre staff only.

What are your health and safety policies?
Please view our Policies and Procedures information. All of our teaching artists are vaccinated against COVID-19. This year, we do not require COVID-19 vaccinations for our camp participants. If your student is feeling ill, however, please keep them home until they feel better. In turn, teaching artists may require students to wear face masks or other PPE, or send them home if symptomatic.

Do you offer any financial aid?
There is an option to implement a payment plan when you register. If you are in financial need, please email Director of Education & Training, Rebecca Dzida at rdzida@olneytheatre.org.
