Here are some of the ways you can support Olney Theatre Center!
Olney Theatre Center is a not-for-profit professional theatre. We depend on the generosity of individuals like you as well as public and private organizations to help us sustain and develop our artistic, educational and cultural mission. Your cash gift underwrites production, programming, and operating costs. Learn more about individual giving and corporate giving opportunities.
On December 18th, President Obama signed a law that retroactively extended the charitable IRA rollover for 2015 and made this provision permanent for the future. Up to $100,000 can be transferred directly from traditional or Roth IRAs annually to charitable organizations and recognized as donations.
If you are 70½ or over and have not yet taken your mandatory distribution from your IRA this year, you might want to consider a gift from your IRA to Olney Theatre Center before December 31, 2015. To make such gifts, it is important to not withdraw funds prior to a gift, but distribute them directly from an IRA to qualified charities. Please check with your IRA administrator or your financial advisor for more information.
