Listening Assistance
For listening assistance during performances, our infrared
system, which amplifies the sound on stage, is available free of
charge. Please ask the house manager for assistance. (This service
is not available on the third Wednesday evening of each production's
run.)
Sign-Interpreted Performances
Sign-interpretation is available for each Mainstage Production the third Thursday of the run. This service will only be provided if it is requested. Please let us know you are interested in the sign-interpreted performance when reserving your tickets. Additional interpreted performances can be scheduled for groups. Please call the box office for more details and specific dates.
Audio-Described Performances
Audio described performances are offered on the third Wednesday
evening of each production's run. Audience members may enjoy free
broadcast pre-show program notes and descriptions of the action, scenery
and costumes during pauses in the dialogue from any seat in the theater.
The Metropolitan Washington Ear provides this service. In addition, the
Metropolitan Washington Ear will provide escorts to audio-described
performances for patrons who are visually impaired. (Olney Theatre Center
will provide a free ticket for the Metropolitan Washington Ear escort.)

Post-Show Discussions
Discussions are offered on the first Saturday
(following the matinee performance) and third Wednesday of most productions. Join the
artistic staff and invited guests after the show to discuss the
